Saint Martin Street's Nameday in a new way

This year, there will be no parade, but a Name Day Village will be created, stretching from Adam Mickiewicz Square, through the intersection of Święty Marcin Street and Niepodległości Avenue, to the ZAMEK Cultural Center, complete with an Open Courtyard. Access to the village will be via one of four entrances: at the intersection of Kościuszki and Św. Marcin Streets, at the intersection of Niepodległości Avenue and Taylor Street, on Św. Marcin Street next to the Adam Mickiewicz University auditorium, and at the intersection of Niepodległości Avenue and Fredry Street. Admission to the events is free. As with major festivals, basic security checks will be conducted at the entrances. Unnecessary or prohibited items can be stored in depositories free of charge.

The village will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The culmination will be the Mayor of Poznań handing over the keys to the city to Saint Martin. This is a symbolic and crucial moment of the celebrations, well worth experiencing. The Saint Martin's Procession will arrive around 1 p.m.

The main music stage will be located in Mickiewicz Square, featuring performers representing all generations of musicians. Most of them are from Poznań. Kubeus, a rapper with a positive message, will perform first. Torpedo will follow, followed by Cinnamon Gum, a band inspired by the warm, soulful sounds of the 1970s. Later in the day, Krzysztof Antkowiak will appear on the name-day stage, and Małgorzata Ostrowska will headline the evening, expected around 6:30 p.m.The full program of the celebrations and practical information are available on the ZAMEK Cultural Center website: www.ckzamek.pl and on social media.
