EXHIBITION OF INSECTIVOROUS PLANTS IN THE POZNAŃ PALM HOUSE 28.04-3.05

Insectivorous species are both beautiful and unsettling—as if nature had created something between plant and predator. Colorful "pitchers," jaw-like leaves, and shiny dew-like drops… these are actually clever insect traps. Insectivorous plants are masters of survival—they thrive in nitrogen-poor soil, so they have evolved clever (and sometimes brutal) strategies for obtaining food. Nature demonstrates that the boundaries between the plant and animal worlds are not as clear-cut as you might think.

Learn more about these fascinating species (you'll discover they're a great alternative to popular houseplants and, contrary to appearances, are not difficult to grow) at the Insectivorous Plant Exhibition at the Poznań Palm House. The exhibition is combined with a plant sale.
